Five new players have joined the Ghana national football team for an upcoming friendly against Mexico. Coach Carlos Queiroz is using this match on May 28 to assess new talent for the World Cup.

Emmanuel Edjei completes the list of new players. He is a midfielder. Edjei joined Dundee United earlier this year. He has made a quick impact. He was named Player and Goal of the Month in March 2026. He recently scored his first goal for Dundee United. This was in a game against Celtic.
