The Ghana Export-Import Bank (Ghana EXIMBank) has officially opened the Awoamefia Togbi Sri III Astro Turf Park at Hogbe Park in Anloga. This significant development, part of the bank's 10th-anniversary corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, aims to revitalize sports and community activities in the area.
The commissioning ceremony, held on August 7, 2026, brought together prominent traditional leaders, government officials, and local residents. Among the dignitaries present were the Awoamefia of Anlo State, Togbi Sri III, and the Awadada of Anlo Dukor, Togbui Agbesi Awusu II. The project addresses a long-standing need for improved sporting infrastructure in Anloga.

He further noted that the park's previous condition no longer supported competitive football or structured sporting activity. The new astro turf facility is constructed to international standards, enabling it to host league matches, tournaments, training programs, and school competitions throughout the year. To ensure the facility's long-term viability, a management committee has been established. This committee comprises members from the Anlo Traditional Council, the Anlo Municipal Assembly, youth groups, and other stakeholders. Mr. Mensah emphasized the importance of this governance structure, stating, "A facility without governance deteriorates. The introduction of the management committee today is as important as the ribbon-cutting."
