The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency has defended its development record. The party detailed ongoing roads, schools, and health projects. This comes after opposition figures accused the Member of Parliament, Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye, of neglecting the area. NDC officials state that numerous social interventions have been completed or are underway.

These projects include road improvements, new school buildings, and Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds. Borehole water systems and educational support have also been provided. Nana Attakorah Asante, the constituency's Communication Officer, stated these actions demonstrate significant delivery within a short period. He described claims of inaction as a 'blatant lie' in an interview with the Ghana News Agency.

In education, the NDC highlighted completed classroom infrastructure. A three-unit block with washrooms is finished at Empiro. Sodofo Abaase received a new kindergarten block. Okyiriku now has a six-unit classroom block. The party also addressed furniture shortages. One thousand tables and chairs each went to Aggrey Memorial SHS and Aburaman SHS. Similar supplies reached Morre SHS, Asuantsi Technical SHS, and Abakrampa SHS. These deliveries aim to improve the learning environment.

The health sector has seen expanded access through new CHPS compounds. Facilities are complete at Nyamedom, Ohiaba, and Abaka. This brings healthcare closer to residents. Medical equipment was also distributed to health centres and CHPS compounds. Facilities in Nyamedom, Ohiaba, Batayaa, Ayeldu, Abokomano, Brafoyaw, and Nkantanan received supplies. The Morre and Abakrampa health centres also got equipment. This strengthens primary healthcare delivery.

Water supply challenges are being addressed with borehole projects. About 15 communities have benefited. These include Asebu, Ayeldu, Gyabankrom, Nyamedom, and Abaka. Water storage systems were also provided. Aggrey Memorial SHS received three 10,000-litre polytanks. Okesikrom and Mpredwe each got a 10,000-litre tank with a pump. Tetekasum received a 5,000-litre tank and pump.

Road infrastructure work is progressing on key routes. Projects are underway on Abura Dunkwa township roads. The Amosima stretch and roads within Abakrampa are being worked on. The Morre Hospital Junction to Morre SHS road is also improving. The Afrangue to Ayeldu road is another focus area. These projects ease movement of people and goods. They also open communities for economic activity.

The NDC's detailed list follows criticism from a traditional leader. This leader claimed the MP had failed to deliver development. Nana Asante dismissed this as politically motivated. He stated that beyond completed projects, others are ongoing. These include telecommunications infrastructure and a football park. Materials for network installation are on site. The football park is about halfway complete.

The government's approach involves direct community engagement. They explain ongoing projects and address priority needs. Nana Asante urged residents to focus on current work. He advised against misleading political narratives. Development in the constituency is visible and ongoing, he asserted.
