The Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has accused the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) of mishandling salary negotiations. GAUA National President Rev. The GAUA president alleged that administrative and professional staff have not received certain payments that other employees have. He believes the union has been treated differently during these negotiations. Rev. Amoah explicitly stated, "Fair Wages was not truthful to us," indicating a perceived lack of good faith from the Commission. This dispute extends beyond the current negotiations, according to Rev. Amoah. He cited long-standing salary-placement disparities and other unresolved issues affecting administrative staff. GAUA has repeatedly raised these concerns with relevant authorities over several years without satisfactory responses. This history of unresolved grievances has contributed to the current impasse.
