The Bosome Freho District Assembly has begun constructing a modern 24-hour economy market at Tebeso No. 2. This project is a key part of Ghana's national strategy. It aims to boost trade and create jobs for local residents. The market will serve as a significant business hub for the district and nearby areas.

The construction, handled by Neckseth Construction, is expected to finish in 36 months. This new facility will be a fully integrated commercial center. It's designed for constant economic activity, fitting the 24-hour economy model. The market will include important services. These are a police post, fire service station, and a women's development bank. It will also have sanitary facilities and lockable shops for uninterrupted business.

This initiative aligns with the government's broader goal to stimulate round-the-clock economic activity across Ghana. The 24-Hour Economy policy seeks to expand commercial infrastructure. It also aims to reduce unemployment and strengthen local economies. The Bosome Freho market is one of 43 such markets planned for the Ashanti Region. Previous development efforts in the area have faced delays and abandonment, making timely project completion crucial for community trust. The total cost of such projects across the region represents a significant investment in local development.

The District Chief Executive, Charles Appiah Kubi, spoke at the ceremony. He asked residents to support the contractor. He also promised close supervision to ensure the project finishes on schedule. "I will personally monitor the contractor," Mr. Appiah Kubi stated. "We do not want this to become one of the abandoned projects in the district." This commitment addresses concerns about project continuity.

Nana Appiah Anuamah 1, the Chief of Tebeso, highlighted past issues. He mentioned that abandoned projects cost taxpayers money. He welcomed this new initiative with hope. Neckseth Construction assured residents of their dedication. They pledged to deliver the project within the agreed timeframe.

The 24-Hour Economy policy is designed to complement other government efforts. These include boosting agriculture, trade, and industrialization. The markets are expected to be vital hubs for these sectors. They will facilitate business growth and create employment opportunities. The successful implementation of these markets is a test of the policy's effectiveness. It also highlights the importance of public-private partnerships in national development.

The total estimated cost for this specific market construction is GHS 4.2 billion. This figure represents a substantial investment in Bosome Freho's economic future. The project is set to transform Tebeso No. 2 into a bustling commercial center. It supports the national agenda for sustained economic growth and job creation.
