The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has launched a new initiative in the United Kingdom. This program aims to find young football players of Ghanaian descent. The GFA is working with Coach Hene Sports Club and Prince Lamona Consulting. This effort is part of a bigger plan. It seeks to strengthen talent development and offer future chances for the national teams.

This talent search is designed to connect with Ghanaians living abroad. It looks for promising players who can help Ghana's football succeed globally. The program includes supervised training sessions. These will cover technical skills and tactical understanding. Qualified coaches will guide the young players. They will work in a structured, high-performance setting.

Emmanuel Afranie, founder of Coach Hene Sports Club, sees this as vital. He stated it bridges the gap for talented diaspora youth. "There are many gifted young players of Ghanaian heritage across the UK," he said. "They deserve the opportunity to be seen and guided." He added that the initiative creates pathways and builds relationships. It gives players a platform to grow on and off the field.

The long-term goal extends beyond just finding talent. "We want to create a sustainable structure that nurtures talent over time," Afranie explained. Players will learn pride, discipline, and responsibility. This is important for representing Ghana's football.

George Addo, Communications Director at Coach Hene Sports Club, agreed. He called the program a significant step. It reconnects diaspora youth with Ghana's football future. "This initiative is about creating genuine opportunities," Addo stated. "We believe there is immense talent within the diaspora." He highlighted the program's role in identification and long-term engagement.

This effort also fits into the GFA's global football strategy. It supports youth empowerment and sustainable excellence. The GFA aims to discover new talent for Ghana.

An important meeting is set for May 26. It will take place at the Ghana High Commission in London. Parents of eligible players and other stakeholders will attend. Discussions will cover the program's long-term structure and opportunities. Further details about dates and venues will be announced soon.
