The Ghana Education Service (GES) has launched the 17th National Festival of Arts and Culture for Basic Schools in Techiman, Bono East Region. This significant event brings together young talents from all 16 regions of Ghana to showcase the nation's rich cultural heritage.
The five-day festival, which began on Sunday, August 9, 2026, and concludes on Thursday, August 13, is organized through the GES Arts and Culture Department. Activities are taking place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls’ Senior High School and Techiman Senior High School. Sixteen cultural troupes, each representing a region, are performing in music, dance, drama, poetry, and other artistic expressions.
