This slim margin contrasts sharply with the annulled election on Sunday, July 12, 2026, where Mr. Atta had won by a significant landslide. The NPP’s National Steering Committee annulled the initial results, citing breaches of party directives and electoral regulations. In the re-run, Kingsley Atta polled 570 votes, representing 50.2%, while Fiifi Mensah obtained 566 votes, or 49.8%.
