Mr. Dumelo urged Afrinova Waste Solutions Limited to expand its fleet of tricycles to widen coverage and appealed to residents to patronize the service.
Dr. Francis-Xavier Sosu, the Member of Parliament for Madina, highlighted the app as a proactive step against persistent indiscriminate waste disposal. He explained that the application allows residents to request waste collection services and report blocked drains, facilitating timely interventions to prevent flooding. Dr. Sosu emphasized that good governance involves preventive measures to protect lives and property, not just disaster response.
Mr. Alex Kwame Donyinah, Managing Partner for Operations at Afrinova Waste Solutions Limited, called for increased adoption of technology-driven solutions in waste management. He stated that the app was born from challenges households faced in accessing reliable waste collection.
