Ghana Invites Global Investors to London Summit

    The Ghana High Commission to the United Kingdom and Ireland has announced the Ghana–UK Investment Summit 2026. This two-day economic forum will happen from June 1 to June 2, 2026. It will take place at the Raffles London. The summit’s theme is “Restoring Investor Confidence to Unlock Opportunities and Shared Prosperity.” The goal is to bring together government officials and global institutional investors. It also includes captains of industry and development finance leaders. They aim to strengthen economic ties and forge strategic partnerships. This will unlock new investment opportunities between Ghana and the United Kingdom. President John Dramani Mahama is expected to give the main speech. He will speak about his Reset Agenda. This agenda focuses on transparency and economic resilience. It also emphasizes fiscal discipline and better collaboration with investors. Attendees will have chances for one-on-one meetings. A strong legal framework supports businesses. Ghana acts as a gateway to the ECOWAS region. This market has over 400 million consumers. The AfCFTA Secretariat is in Accra. This provides access to a continental market worth approximately US$3.4 trillion. The summit will highlight investment chances in six main areas. These include agribusiness and trade financing. Real estate and fintech are also key sectors. Energy and the green transition are important. Critical minerals and carbon markets will be discussed. These sectors represent significant growth potential. The government seeks to attract foreign direct investment. This investment is crucial for economic development.

    The Ghana High Commission in the UK is organizing the summit. They are working with the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry. The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) is also involved. Supporting partners include the British High Commission in Accra. The UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) is also a partner.
