Interplast Ltd. has earned a spot among Africa’s top 50 fastest-growing companies. It ranked 49th in the 2026 Financial Times list. This is a significant jump from its previous 70th position. The company is one of only eight manufacturing firms on the continent to make this year’s list.
This latest ranking highlights Interplast’s consistent expansion. It also shows its growing influence in Africa’s industrial sector. Strong revenue growth, investment in production capabilities, and increasing demand for infrastructure products fueled this success. The Financial Times compiles this list annually with Statista. It identifies African companies with exceptional revenue growth and business expansion over three years.
Interplast recorded an impressive 280.38% absolute growth rate. Its revenues increased from $57.88 million in 2021 to $78.98 million in 2024. In the same period, the company grew its workforce from 468 to 734 employees. Interplast was one of only three Ghanaian companies to feature on the 2026 list. Regulus Investment and Financial Services Ltd. ranked third. Hubtel Ltd. placed 48th.
The recognition reinforces Interplast’s status as a leading Ghanaian manufacturer. It also underscores its role in Africa’s industrial growth. Founded over 56 years ago, Interplast has become a regional industrial power. The company serves customers across West and Central Africa. It produces HDPE and uPVC pipes for water and sanitation. It also makes uPVC windows and doors for construction. Additionally, it supplies irrigation systems for agriculture.
Managing Director Hayssam Fakhry described the recognition as a testament to the company’s investments. He cited investments in local manufacturing capacity, innovation, and human capital. “This achievement speaks to the strength of our people, our investment in local capacity, and our dedication to delivering high-quality solutions for Africa’s development,” he stated. He also noted that it shows what African businesses can achieve when empowered to innovate and compete globally.
Industry experts note that Interplast’s ranking reflects the increasing contribution of Ghanaian manufacturers to Africa’s infrastructure development. This includes sectors like water systems, housing, and agriculture. The company’s enhanced continental profile is expected to support its expansion efforts. It may also strengthen its role in promoting sustainable industrialization across Africa.
