OmniBSIC Bank Ghana Limited has been honoured with the African Banking Excellence Award for Growth, Innovation and Customer Value at the 12th International Forum on African-Caribbean Leadership (IFAL 2026) in New York.

The award recognises financial institutions across Africa that have demonstrated outstanding performance in driving growth, advancing innovation and delivering value to customers. OmniBSIC Bank’s recognition reflects its sustained transformation and growing position in Ghana’s financial services sector.

The bank’s growth has been reflected in its recent financial performance, with total assets more than doubling to GHS 21.58 billion in 2025, while customer deposits reached GHS 16.56 billion. Profit before tax also rose by 104 percent to GHS 641 million. Managing Director of OmniBSIC Bank, Daniel Asiedu, said the award was a significant affirmation of the bank’s ambition and its Ghanaian roots.

The award comes as OmniBSIC Bank continues to implement its OmniBSIC 5.0 strategic initiative, which places technology-driven innovation, personalised service and proactive customer partnerships at the centre of its growth agenda. The bank has continued to expand its reach and deepen its engagement with individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises, corporates and institutions, while strengthening its digital banking capabilities and customer proposition.

Daniel Asiedu also received honorary citizenship of Stonecrest, Georgia, on the sidelines of IFAL 2026, recognising his leadership and contribution to banking and economic development. He described the recognition as a personal honour and an opportunity to deepen his commitment to cross-border economic development.

OmniBSIC Bank has been named Best Corporate Bank (Ghana) by Global Banking & Finance Review in 2023, 2024 and 2026, and has also been recognised as Fastest-Growing Corporate Bank (Ghana) in 2023 and SME Bank of the Year at the Ghana Credit Excellence Awards in 2024. The bank has also been recognised twice as Most Customer-Centric Bank by CIMG and as Top Bank in Consumer Service Quality by the Ghana Customer Satisfaction Index in 2025.
