Bridget Eshun, founder of Delsoy Milk Drink Limited, has won the GHS100,000 grand prize at the Enterprise Spotlight Challenge. Her business, located in Ghana’s Central Region, focuses on plant-based milk alternatives. This enterprise also promotes environmental sustainability through a zero-waste production model.
The Enterprise Spotlight Challenge is a nationwide entrepreneurship initiative. Enterprise Group PLC and the Springboard Road Show Foundation created it. Their goal is to identify, fund, and nurture future Ghanaian business leaders. Bridget Eshun’s Delsoy Milk Drink Limited provides nutritious, plant-based milk from soya beans. These products cater to individuals with lactose intolerance and lactating mothers. The company also converts soybean by-products into feed for pig and poultry farming.
This initiative directly supports Ghana’s economic diversification efforts, particularly in the agribusiness sector. The 468 applications received show strong entrepreneurial drive across the country. Such challenges align with the government's push for local value addition and job creation. Data shows that the agri-food sector contributes significantly to Ghana's GDP and employment. Promoting sustainable businesses like Delsoy Milk Drink Limited strengthens this crucial sector.
“We say a very big thank you to Enterprise Group and Springboard Road Show Foundation for giving Delsoy Milk Drink Limited this spotlight. We promise to make you and Mother Ghana proud,” said Bridget Eshun. Albert Ocran, Technical Director of the Springboard Road Show Foundation, expressed pride in all winners. Daniel Larbi-Tieku, Group CEO of Enterprise Group, commended the winners for their commitment and ideas.
