MTN Ghana has rewarded more than 30,000 customers with cash prizes, while nine subscribers have won brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prados as part of activities marking the company’s 30th anniversary.

The rewards form part of MTN’s Mega Promo, introduced to appreciate customers for their loyalty and continued support over the past years. At a presentation ceremony in Accra, Senior Manager for Consumer Marketing at MTN Ghana, Sandra Adu Antwi, said the promotion was designed to give back to customers as part of the company’s anniversary celebrations.

She explained that customers accumulated points through their regular use of MTN services, including voice calls, internet browsing, social media, mobile money transfers and payments.

The promotion was deliberately made simple to allow customers to participate through their everyday activities without undertaking any extra tasks. Under the promotion, customers with the highest accumulated points were selected for the monthly car prizes, while others received cash rewards.

One of the Prado winners, Benedicta Obeng Asare from Sowutuom in Accra, described her win as a dream come true. She said she was in a car when she received a call from MTN informing her that she had won the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.

The anniversary promotion forms part of MTN Ghana’s customer appreciation efforts as the telecommunications company celebrates 30 years of operations in the country. MTN Ghana has invested $1.1 billion over three years, deployed 500 new sites in 2026, and expanded Savannahfest football gala to unearth grassroots talent.

The company has also trained civil society organisations on artificial intelligence and urged SMEs to guard against cyber fraud.

MTN Ghana’s efforts have contributed to the growth of the telecommunications sector in Ghana, with the company’s mobile money service, MoMo, hitting 44% growth. The company has also encouraged Ghanaians to use MoMo for saving, investing, and financial planning. As MTN Ghana continues to expand its services, the company is expected to extend its earnings into the second-half of 2026, with a share price of GHS 6.69.

The rewards given to customers by MTN Ghana are a testament to the company’s commitment to its customers and its contribution to the growth of the Ghanaian economy. With its investments and expansion plans, MTN Ghana is expected to continue playing a significant role in the development of the telecommunications sector in Ghana.
