Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi, has officially opened a new school building at Abenase Methodist School. This is the ninth school he has provided for communities in his district since 2017. The MP stated that this project is part of an ongoing effort to boost access to quality education. He described his constituency as historically lacking in educational chances.

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah believes education is a powerful way to change lives in his community. He highlighted his own family's improved circumstances due to education. Since he began his parliamentary term in 2017, the MP has focused on replacing temporary learning spaces. Many schools in his area used to operate under trees. He has prioritized building permanent classroom blocks instead. This Abenase school is the ninth such structure completed over approximately nine years.

Two more school projects are currently under construction. These are expected to be finished within this year. This will bring the total number of schools delivered under his leadership to eleven. The main goal of this initiative is to create a better learning environment. Such an environment should help students succeed academically. It should also encourage them to contribute to their communities later on. The MP urged students to use the new facilities well. They should focus on their studies and aim for high achievements.

These new facilities are part of a wider plan. They add to other education infrastructure projects. These include new schools at Akyem Anyinase Presbyterian Basic School and Akyem Ayirebi Presbyterian Junior High School. Several classroom blocks with six rooms have also been built. These address student overcrowding. They also replace older, damaged buildings. Most of these projects received funding from the World Bank. They were also supported by the Oppong Nkrumah Education and Skills Development Fund. This fund was created in 2017. It aims to improve school buildings and support teachers.

The new school buildings include modern classrooms. They also have staff rooms and office space. Electricity and sanitation facilities are also provided. These amenities are meant to improve both teaching and learning conditions. Beyond education, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah is also working on housing for public workers. The Ministry of Works and Housing is building homes for teachers and doctors. This initiative started when he was a minister. Plans are also in the works for teacher bungalows. These will help keep teachers in the constituency.
